Agent Venom is a Marvel Comics character, the third major host of the Venom symbiote.
The character is based on the original comic book character from Marvel Comics.
Debuting in The Amazing Spider-Man #654 (February 2011), this iteration sees the Venom symbiote bonded to Flash Thompson, a former bully of Peter Parker who later became a decorated war veteran. Severely injured during his service, Flash is offered the chance to bond with the Venom symbiote as part of a government program, granting him enhanced abilities and allowing him to walk again.
As Agent Venom, Flash operates as a secret agent, undertaking dangerous missions for the U.S. government. While possessing incredible power, he must constantly fight to maintain control over the symbiote, which retains its hunger for violence.
